Alexa Lyons

I’m someone whose college journey could easily be turned into a Netflix mini-series. I survived moving across three different states, deciding between three different majors, and attending three different colleges. All while trying to remember what “normal” was supposed to feel like. But somehow, every twist and turn pointed me toward exactly where I’m meant to be now.

I grew up in the restaurant world working alongside my dad, who’s been my built-in mentor, biggest supporter, and the reason I know how to handle complete chaos with a smile. My passion for hospitality started with him, and this year, I got to help him open Cocky Rooster in Columbia, SC. Helping my dad open his franchise was the most awarding and best experience i have ever been a part of.

Somewhere between changing majors and learning how to survive adulthood, I discovered my love for sports media. I realized I enjoy telling stories, creating visuals, and capturing the moments that people usually forget the second after they happen. Whether it’s writing, photographing, or creating content, I love the creative side of sports and the connections it builds.
